Eight years together. Some might pass it as an excuse to take one another for granted – not these two. Tears on tears on tears, every part of this day was emotional and filled with joy as we celebrated the next season for Katie and Mike. Grant and I were elated to celebrate this incredible couple together on the most perfect spring day in Iowa. Grab a tissue and enjoy!
Have you ever been to a wedding where every detail held importance and truly meant something to the couple? This was one of those days and it reminded me how truly special you can make a wedding day, just by putting thought and intentionality behind the choices of your celebration. Kristina & Ethan gathered with their family and friends to celebrate their marriage in the quaint river town of Dubuque, IA where Kristina grew up. She was spotted in grandma’s pearls while he sported his grandfather’s watch. It was moment after moment, each more special than the last. When she was younger, her and her siblings got to drive around with their father in his gorgeous white show-car. It hadn’t be in working condition for years, but dad brushed off the dust and got ‘er running for Kristina’s special day. There were the most non-DIY looking DIY backdrops I’ve ever seen, twin nieces that flawlessly captured the crowd before the bride made her entrance, industrial landscapes, multiple choreographed dances, and too many smiles to count. Enjoy!
