Boho Hidden Meadow & Barn Associate Wedding | Pepin, WI | Vanessa & Michael

What started sixteen years ago as a few innocent kids playing with the neighbors ended with this unbelievable Christ-centered marriage being celebrated in the most intimate fashion. Vanessa and Michael eliminated the extra crap, for lack of a better term haha. Weddings can be so distracting from what’s actually important. We tend to forget why we spend so much money to gather around glitz and glam in the first place. They made the day about them without forcing anyone else to feel less-than. No first look, minimal bridal party, grandpa officiating. It was a wedding out of boho dreams, filled with laughter and tears and all the best things. We’re pulling out the megaphone to cheer on this marriage for the rest of forever. Congrats you two!

Intimate Beach Destination Wedding in Little Exuma, Bahamas | Jenni & Andrew

“This only happens in the movies” came out of my mouth more than a few times throughout this intimate celebration in the Bahamas. I was mostly referring to my awe of sheer beauty in EVERY detail of the wedding day, but it was also an appropriate expression to describe a few of the hiccups we encountered haha. Grant and I flew down to the Bahamas to celebrate with Jenni and Andrew as they tied the knot, after many years together, with their absolute closest family and friends. I’m all about a big party, but I left this weekend feeling so so so touched by the intimacy and authenticity these few days together held. I don’t think I've experienced anything like it. I tried to type my emotions, but I’d prefer my photos do the talking.

We were honored beyond belief to be trusted with the responsibility of documenting this day - it’s one I’ll never, ever forget. Jenni & Andrew, we adore the heck outta you two. Congrats on forever!

El Dorado Royale Resort Wedding in Riviera Maya, Mexico | Sydney & Tate

I’m at a loss of words to describe my emotions after this wedding. I don’t think anything I could come up with would properly convey my gratitude, excitement and JOY after being a part of this celebrate (it really wasn’t just a day haha)! Grant and I had the complete privilege of joining Sydney, Tate and their closest family and friends in Mexico for their Mexican fiesta. Live bands, countless tearful moments, quality time with people they value, a donkey, the best reception speeches, delicious food, jumping in the pool…. there wasn’t a detail that we didn’t adore. Here are a few of my favorites captured from the wedding day :)

The Chateau at White Oak Wedding | Katie & Mike

Eight years together. Some might pass it as an excuse to take one another for granted – not these two. Tears on tears on tears, every part of this day was emotional and filled with joy as we celebrated the next season for Katie and Mike. Grant and I were elated to celebrate this incredible couple together on the most perfect spring day in Iowa. Grab a tissue and enjoy!

Millwork Ballroom & Events Center Dubuque Wedding | Kristina & Ethan

Have you ever been to a wedding where every detail held importance and truly meant something to the couple? This was one of those days and it reminded me how truly special you can make a wedding day, just by putting thought and intentionality behind the choices of your celebration. Kristina & Ethan gathered with their family and friends to celebrate their marriage in the quaint river town of Dubuque, IA where Kristina grew up. She was spotted in grandma’s pearls while he sported his grandfather’s watch. It was moment after moment, each more special than the last. When she was younger, her and her siblings got to drive around with their father in his gorgeous white show-car. It hadn’t be in working condition for years, but dad brushed off the dust and got ‘er running for Kristina’s special day. There were the most non-DIY looking DIY backdrops I’ve ever seen, twin nieces that flawlessly captured the crowd before the bride made her entrance, industrial landscapes, multiple choreographed dances, and too many smiles to count. Enjoy!
